Position Summary

The Specialty Services Controls & Testing Specialist conducts regular quality control (QC) reviews of deposit account opening activities, servicing transactions and related processes to ensure they align with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role provides specialized controls and testing support for commercial deposit accounts across all business lines, as well as consumer deposit accounts opened for Private Client.

By performing independent reviews and documenting findings, the Specialty Services Controls & Testing Specialist helps mitigate risk, ensure compliance and promote consistent execution of deposit-related processes across specialty and commercial segments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct QC regular reviews of all commercial deposit and consumer deposit for Private Client account openings to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to ensure they align with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Review servicing transactions and related processes tied to specialty and commercial deposit accounts.
  • Maintain detailed review trails and supporting documentation to track QC activities, findings, and remediation efforts for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of audit findings, compliance reviews and any incidents related to fraud or policy violations.
  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and potential risks, and escalate concerns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements while handling sensitive customer and account information.

Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Deposit account opening and servicing processes
  • Consumer and Commercial deposit products
  • Bank policies, procedures and documentation standards

Ability to:

  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Perform detailed reviews with a high level of accuracy and consistency
  • Identify gaps, trends, and potential compliance or control risks
  • Document findings clearly for review and audit purposes

Education and Training:

  • Minimum of two years of banking experience required (commercial deposit or specialty banking experience preferred).
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Benefits and Compensation

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance.

(Base Pay Range: $22.50-$28.00/hour)
