Position Summary

The Credit Risk & Portfolio Management Analyst will have the primary duty of providing accurate, timely, and succinct reports to the various regions and departments as well as senior management to support the company’s portfolio and risk management efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and publish daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the commercial, retail, expedited underwriting, SBA, and small business lending and credit teams to use in their portfolio management efforts.
  • Develop working knowledge of required systems such as nCino, Axiom and NuPoint.
  • Establish and maintain Regional Portfolio Management dashboard to provide all necessary reporting to the regions.
  • Create metrics at regional and corporate level to measure portfolio management performance.
  • Establish and maintain Corporate Portfolio Management dashboard to provide necessary reporting, analysis and regional metrics to Senior Management.
  • Collect economic data for Busey regions/markets and oversee preparation of quarterly economic report.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining the processes used for the foregoing in accordance with loan policy/guidelines.
  • Management of other credit administration staff as determined by management.
  • Organize and coordinate portfolio management meetings, including but not limited to regional portfolio management, regional portfolio review, and corporate credit meetings.
  • Provide necessary credit information and reporting to other departments such as risk management and finance.
  • Assist in other special projects as assigned.

Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills


Ability to:

  • Multi-task and work independently
  • Analyze and solve problems
  • Take independent action within established guidelines and develop new procedures and approaches when needed
  • Perform duties under frequent time pressures


Education and Training:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Finance or related field.
  • Requires 5 or more years of banking experience; preferably commercial lending or credit analysis.
  • Requires proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Requires experience in report writing and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of nCino and Axiom systems preferred.

Compensation and Benefits 

Salary offered is based on factors, including but not limited to, the job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance. 

  

(Base Pay Range: $64,000 - $90,000)
